Call for Peaceful Protest Rally in Washington DC
As we all know, our people are suffering severe human rights violations by the TPLF led Ethiopian government just for demanding their human rights to be respected. The dictatorial regime has killed thousands of innocent Oromo lives, jailed hundreds of thousands indefinitely without charges, and robbed innumerable properties of the people.
Currently, the TPLF led Ethiopian government has waged an unwarranted state of emergency escalating its brutality against our people. The regime’s security and military forces have been dispatched throughout Oromia, took over administrational duties, and imposed a military rule. The TPLF regime is committing ethnic cleansing crime against our people.
The Oromo Community Organization of Washington DC condemns with strongest terms such inhuman acts perpetrated against our people by the TPLF led Ethiopian Government.
In order to be the voice for our people and to reaffirm our solidarity with them, the OCO will hold a peaceful protest rally in Washington DC on March 22, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, at the U.S. Capitol, U.S. Department of State, and the White House.
The OCO of Washington DC would like to invite all Oromo living in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area and Oromo Communities in North America to join it in exposing and condemning the atrocities of the TPLF led Ethiopian government.
Standing in Solidarity with Our People,
The Oromo Community Organization of Washington DC
