Did anyone listen to Colonel Abiy Ahmed’s speech to Ethiopia’s Parliament today? What a disgrace?

His speach to the parliament shows that he is simply an incompetent opprtunist trying to hang onto power at any cost. He presents threats to his political power as a threat to the country. He cites Berhanu Nega and his party as a role model; the hate mongering ESAT talking head as a seasoned and impartial journalist, a tale-tale sign of the world he so dreams. By so doing, he has basically adopted the moto “saving Ethiopia from Oromos” coined by his role model.
Belligerence doesn’t win the hearts and minds of peaceful people. If it was for military might, Mengistu would still be in power; the TPLF would have ruled the country for ever. They are gone. The truth will ultimately prevail. I thought he can read. The more we listen to him, the more we learn that he is like a Deacon reading from the Ethiopian Orthodox church bible as we know it. At least some one should tell him that dictators never prevail.
I have said it before and I will say it again. This guy is Gobana Daccee of the 21 century. Leaders who lack self confidence often present themselves beneath the dignity of the office they hold. He presents Ethiopia as though his illusions are real. No, it is not. There is no Ethiopia that he can save from Oromos, for it is mainly on the sweat and blood of Oromos that the country and hegemony he so adoringly loves to talk about is founded.
