Ginbot 7 and ESAT are throwing tantrum following the outpouring of millions of Oromo to Finfinnee to welcome the OLF
By Abbaa Ormaa, Ph.D., September 22, 2018
Arbegnoch Ginbar distances itself from Ginbot 7 for fear of the backlash of Burau massacre and killings in Finfinnee, a clear signal that Ginbot 7 is possibly behind it.
Please Oromo, call upon Oromo compatriots to cease and desist their association (working for) with the Oromo phobic ESAT immediately (resign) in protest of ESAT’s continued smear against Qeerroo and the Oromo phobia.
ESAT is an ethically vacant and morally corrupt propaganda arm of Ginbot 7 that is desperately trying to ferment ethnic clashes to destabilize Ethiopia and undermine Dr. Abiy’s government. ESAT’s Oromo phobia is not a new phenomenon, it is a well-documented fact. They repeatedly used false video clips and sensationalized heinous clips from other countries to smear Qeerroo and the Oromo people. Their July 18, 2018 Eletawi is an ample evidence of this fact. This time Ginbot 7 and ESAT financed and orchestrated behind the scenes the killings of innocent people in Burau and Finfinnee to instigate ethnic clashes. Evidences are mounting against Ginbot 7 in connection to the Burau massacre, the ambush style killings of Oromo Qeerroos in Finfinnee, and looting of Oromo business, destruction of schools and banks with Oromo names while they are milking the horror to advance their political agenda.
ESAT on one hand blames Oromo Activists, Oromo political leaders, and Qeerroo without any evidence and on the other hand disputes and decries the mounting evidences against Ginbot 7 in connection to the massacre in Burau and Finfinnee. At the same time they don’t want their audiences is know that similar arrest is taking place against Ginbot 7 supporters in Bahrdar and Amhara region in general by Amhara regional state police. Yet another clear evidence that Ginbot 7 is the financier and organizer of the mob that massacred innocent people is that following the Burau massacre, Arbegnoch Ginbar announced that it is splitting from Ginbot 7. One wonders why Arbegnoch Ginbar choose this time to distance itself from Ginbot 7. Thy must have known something. Even the video clips of reported rally in Arnaminch, Gamo Gofa and circulated clearly indicates that there is a coordinated effort behind the scenes.
ESAT is accusing the federal policy and Oromia state police to preemptive discredit a possible indictment as ethnically motivated, a very dangerous road to take, to cover its crime. They mention Somali and Rwanda this days as a scare tactics. The same line TPLF folks used to scare the Ethiopian peoples. Increased gun trafficking destined into Finfinnee and other cities in Oromia recently is not isolated. It is not a coincidence that some of these weapons are originating from the North. What is also becoming clear is that Ginbot 7 and ESAT all along accused TPLF for trying to avert the change and Dr. Abiy’s government, now Ethiopian are wondering if the same group have been using TPLF as a escape goat to cover their own crimes.
What they don’t understand is that using Nationalities and trying to instigate clashes too will be short lived. The Oromo Liberation Front has a long history of cooperation with the peoples of Ethiopia who have been sunjected to the same fate as the Oromo people. The OLF has a good working relation and cooperation with the Afar Liberation Front Party (ALFP), Gambella Nilotes United Movement (GNUM), Shekacho People’s Movement for Democracy and Social Justice (SPMDSJ), Benishangul People’s Liberation Movement (BPLM), Gambella Peoples Liberation Movement (GPLM), Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), Sidama National Liberation Front (SNLF), etc. I am sure soon these organizations come together to continue their cooperation. This too shall pass!
Ginbot 7 does not represent the majority of the Amhara people. I hope the Amhara people see them for what they are and join hands with the rest of the peoples of Ethiopia in building a peaceful and democratic Ethiopia.
Galani Kessan TOKKUMMAA hatta’uu!
