Diimaa Nagoo is a self-serving habitual lier and an Oromo political stooge (lowlife) who has no shame blaming others for the things that might go wrong and want to take credit when they turn out to be good.
After watching his recent interview (in Amharic), I struggled with how best to describe him until I learned that he is probably suffering from self-serving bias (a cognitive or perceptual process that is distorted by the need to maintain self-esteem and the tendency to perceive oneself in an overly favorable manner).
Self-serving bias occurs in different types of situations, across genders, ages, and cultures. Here are some examples.
A student gets a good grade on a test and tells herself that she studied hard or is good at the material. She gets a bad grade on another test and says the teacher doesn’t like her or the test was unfair.
Athletes win a game and attribute their win to hard work and practice. When they lose the following week, they blame the loss on bad calls by the referees.
A job applicant believes he’s been hired because of his achievements, qualifications, and excellent interview. For a previous opening, he didn’t receive an offer, however, he says the interviewer didn’t like him.
I have no doubt that Qeerroo and Qarree will make Diimaa chew and swallow the violence he is bluntly perpetrating (in his interview) against the honorable chairman of the OLF, Dawud Ibsa.
